I love these mostly flat Florida bike trails. This year was the first time I've seen Limpkins (as you said, they're usually elusive), but I've seen dozens on our various kayak adventures. However…the females are usually bigger so if you see the pair it's easy…but if you just see one then I always guess based on whether it's bigger than average or smaller.
