It is too bad they cannot run this thing 52 weeks a year, but they pack so much into the 9 weeks they do run it, I suppose those hear for the entire season can enjoy the peace and quiet when it shuts down, and still have time to get ready for Winter. I'm thinking we will be in that area when the second grandson (Bill's oldest boy's child) arrives in late August and that spending time at this amazing place while Bill is in California for several days would be ideal. I'll let you know if I'm able to make it happen :-) Love Kristen's sculptures and the incredible pipe organ. David's fire truck is pretty sweet too! How wonderful that you revisited a place that has meant so much to you—and reconnected with friends there. Love the rock inscribed with "Don't Postpone Joy." Your Chataqua was interesting, almost surreal. A pretend place full of learning and high minded activities. Like Erin, it might be just a bit too people centered for my taste. I tend to like more independent kinds of pursuits. So glad you were able to visit your special place and that you shared it with us. I have never heard of it, except for the name. The buildings looked lovely. I am trying to imagine how you ran a farm and had a daughter and a husband and yet managed summers here? Interesting back story here.
