They are such beautiful creatures.

I have read two great books about thru hikers and am fascinated by them and their stories. I'm in search of another book. A guy wanted to rent our Rv lot in Georgia so that he could put a RV on it and offer it to thru hikers. It's just a short distance from the AT and I think he was wanting to do it more as a service than to make money. I didn't think the rest of our neighbors would have appreciated it, but it sure would have been a great way to have gotten to know some of them.Karen and Alhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15284661066870109259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4309293625176086078.post-67256994778958000422015-07-02T19:55:09.112-04:002015-07-02T19:55:09.112-04:00How nice that David was able to join you for part ...How nice that David was able to join you for part of the hike:) Great trail, Sherry! I would love running into some of the through hikers. I can't imagine doing 20+ day after day on the rugged terrain. But how neat to talk to a few thru hikers. That was a very neat tree trunk face! But the owl was the prize for the day!! One day I hope to see an owl in the wild. How nice that you spotted him twice!!John and Pam (ohtheplacestheygo.wordpress.com)https://www.blogger.com/profile/10853924678665624403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4309293625176086078.post-54934606019451024222015-07-02T14:55:49.430-04:002015-07-02T14:55:49.430-04:00Another gorgeous and interesting trail! Your photos of your hike are wonderful. That tall flower is amazing! The lack of maintenance in the middle of the trail is interesting, wonder if there's a specific reason for it? The fritter guy is beautiful and of course the owl would make the whole day better. What a powerful face.
