In America, pie means fats & sweets and this pie had none of either making it an unlikely candidate for anyone's favorite pie. It was really quite fine if you could accept it for what it was, which I knew only too well as I made it. All healthy and nutritious. This was when I lived in Salem, Oregon in the early 80s. We would go up to the Cascades hoping for sunshine, but many times we would break camp early because all it did was rain.
