Hillsborough River State Park Site 11
Thonotosassa, Florida
Today was the day to leave Silver River and move on to
Hillsborough River State Park. I think we all agreed that we
could easily have stayed at Silver River for at least another week.
Silver River ranks EXTREMELY high on my list of
places I love to stay.
But, time to move on.
We did the laundry first thing in the morning,
packed up and pulled out of our favorite site.
On the way to Hillsborough River we stopped by
Long View RV where our fulltime Mentors
Howard and Linda Payne were doing 4 wheel
RV weighing. That’s where they have four individual
scales and tell you the exact weight on each of your
tires and compare it with the manufacturers’ specs.
The whole thing took place so fast that we didn’t
have time to take pictures.
But Winnona, unlike one of her owners,
is under weight all the way around.
WAY TO GO WINNONA!
We are now parked for a week in site 11
at Hillsborough River State Park in Thonotosassa Florida.
Ok how DO you pronounce that mouth full?
We plan to do some kayaking, some hiking,
take in the Tampa RV Show and visit my father in Largo.
As my only photo for this post
I want to share one that I just love
taken from my kayak on the Silver River.
Just look at that face.
That is a great face! Thanks for the very informative e-mail on the kayak!
ReplyDeleteFabulous picture!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo...it was amazing:o))
ReplyDeleteWe agree, Silver River is a very special place!!
That's a cutie. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures in Florida; building up ideas for winter 2013 when we'll likely spend some time in Florida.
ReplyDelete-Tho-no-tow-sas-a. Love the monkey face. They have tried to get rid of those monkeys. Glad to see they are alive and well.
ReplyDeleteyep, have put that park on the list as we head north...

ReplyDeleteJust BS!(Bob and Sue)
Gotta love that monkey face :) Good for you on keeping Winnona light!
ReplyDeleteI'mm still stunned by these monkeys. I've mentioned them to a couple of people and they look at me like I'm crazy. Seems like I'm not the only person who didn't know that there are monkeys in the wild in our own US of A. It's an interesting story. Enjoy your new stop!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time keeping up with your location! We're only about 6 miles from you, so we'll have to get together this week. Maybe even a paddle on the Hillsborough River. It's one of our favorites.
ReplyDeleteNice pic!
ReplyDeleteI agree with 'Sometimes David' - fabulous picture!! And..way to go Winnona! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat monkey is so cute! Can't wait to see them when we get to Silver River!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteWas David trying to tell us that "he" took that fabulous picture???
I think I recognized the zoom :)
What a sweet picture!
